Looking for information on 255 grain lead bullets for 38-55. Were the original bullets 100% lead or a mixture of a Lead and Tin?If a combination what ratio/s? Thanks

From WRA catalog No. 72, October 1905:

.38-55 Grooved Bullet
255 grains
Lead Bullets, 1 part tin and 40 parts lead.

.38-55 Short Range
155 grains
Bullets,  1 part tin and 20 parts lead.
