	I am with Bill Molly was once one of the greatest things known to mankind until the barrel went sour and you couldn't remove it and then it became the worst thing being known to man kind. So buyer beware and even more so if thinking about shooting them in an original. JLouis

	The artwork on the box is enough to keep me away. I do not really believe that is target ammo. Maybe for blasters & beer cans. Can the lead even be salvaged? Dental X-ray lead was more trouble than it was worth.

	Yeah, that artwork is pretty creepy, ain't it? However, the guy says that you'll clean your .22 bore less with it. In my case, how can I clean less than never?

	Some lead is copper plated, other jacketed. Obviously thickness is the difference, but what are the parameters? Aaron

About 10 years ago, a retiring dentist gave a friend several big boxes of dental X-ray lead. This was supposed to be the shielding behind the film used for the X-rays of your teeth. The thin piece of lead (1/16"?) was attached to some sort of plastic film. We could not easily separate the lead from the plastic. When we melted a test batch, the plastic stuff floated to the top but caught fire. More trouble than it was worth.

	These are special runs. There is a red, white and blue offering out for the 4th of July. Product code for searching is 921RWB. LAX ammo has some in stock. I have some on the way for the holiday shoot. (You need to *Login* or *Register* to view media files and links) A good polymer holds up well and minimizes fouling. The big selling points are most indoor ranges accept it as being a lead safe coating. It works very well for keeping lead from building up in suppressors. With powder coating, it can be done at home, giving people who cast an easy way to coat their own. It seems to recycle well, I have not coated any, but shoot them and send the shot bullets back to a friend that does. Accuracy seems to be on par with most commercial cast bullets.

	We bought some of the Christmas colored ones for the season and used them on the prairie poodles on a bright sunny winter afternoon. We discovered that none of our rifles at the time seemed to liked the polymer coating, switched back to standard match we'd been using all along and percentage of hits increased substantially. The barrels cleaned up the same, so the single shots were good, but on any of the auto loaders there were flakes of green and red everywhere that didn't clean up so well. My 2 cents... Greg
