This is a nice little HiWall in 22 Rimfire that recently followed me home that I thought some of you here might like to have alook at.

VERY nice, but by the time you've put a few thousand rounds through it, you'll understand why some HWs had the right-side of the rcvr. milled down to facilitate loading. I didn't even reach the "few thousand" mark with the one I once had (nothing whatever to compare with this one!), before deciding it needed to be passed on to someone more appreciative.

Woweee! For that kind of class I'd put up with Redsetter's pain. Do you know who created it, JLoius?

Bill a very dear friend of mine was the creator so it is also very special for me to now own it. The reason Redsetter mentioned is I believe why he wanted to sell as he stated he just did not have the heart to Mill the one side down.

Where do you get a reproduction of the Winchester grip cap in metal? Although if you can plate baby booties, I suppose you can plate hard rubber or plastic, too.

Bill the builder does not recall where he got it and I over heard several ask. I actually picked up the rifle from another friend who is also a friend of the gentleman who built it. It sat on the for sale table for three days and I just could leave without it. I also talked with the builder prior too who was there shooting with us and just a bit since only in regards to what it likes to shoot the best.

Fine looking rifle John! If it shoots as good as it looks, you'll definitely be in the winner's circle!

Gorgeous High Wall! And I'm always surprised when people say they fight getting cases out of a High Wall. I simply took a small pair of 90 degree needlenose pliers with me and kept them on the bench to remove fired cases. They easily pick the empties off the extractor, and loading was never a problem.
