	Hi People, You can laugh at this but I live at Ferlach, in Austra. The world leading city for gunsmith and gunsmith training. But as I am not a member of the Cooprative (Genossenschaft) (Look in Ferlach Guns or Ferlach Buchsenmacher or HTBLVA Ferlach. on YOU TUBE) I cannot purchase anything through the Coop. Can any member suggest where I can purchase (in small pieces) steel for construction of a 22/250 single action I am happy to purchase from America or Australia if you can suggest companies which will sell in small quantities. EG 4140 flat bar,

You might also consider 8620 as well a 4140/4142. There must be someone in the EU that can do better for you but I have no knowledge. Happy searching.

	4140 is a typical steel for barrels (and actions) and 8620 is the steel used for AR-15 bolts. Two very good steels. AND there may well be a place where one could pick up scraps.

	Thank you Gents, for your advice. Think I will try MMC first. I've used them before and they do not panic about sending to Europe. They also know the difference between Austria and Austrialia. Very important part. ) I can purchase this product in Germany or Austria but only in three meter long lengths. Thanks again Russell Dunn Ferlach Austria
