GRASS VALLEY, CALIF.
Clint Walker, who played the title character in the early TV western "Cheyenne," has died. Walker's daughter Valerie Walker tells The Associated Press that her father died Monday of congestive heart failure at a hospital in Grass Valley, California at age 91. The towering, strapping Walker played Cheyenne Bodie, who traveled the West and handed down justice on the TV series that ran for seven seasons starting in 1955.

Clint Walker and his wife attended the 1983 Coors Schuetzenfest in Golden Colorado, and his wife Gigi won the celebrity match;

Hi Ken, yes I talked to them too, and they were very nice. I also agreed to be a coach, and the fellow I coached and let use my equipment was a sports writer for a Denver newspaper...... and although I can't rememeber which one, his first four shots were 25's. I think he was impressed.  Wink

Bummer! Clint used to come to our collector gun show each summer and he was as nice a guy as I've ever met! We lost one of the good guys in Hollywood!

Truly sad to hear of his passing. Never had the pleasure of meeting him but I do consider him to be a great actor. He will be missed. Frank

Met Clint casually years ago when he was hanging drywall with the Shelton boys in central Texas.
All were about the same size and could hang drywall on the ceiling using a low bench.
Glad he made it and sorry for the loss.
Chuck

I met Mr. Walker in 1970 on a traffic stop. He was a true gentleman and very easy to talk to. Not like so many of the Hollywood crowd. We need more like him !

My condolences to his family.    Dave Cry
