I've had some, the little time I spent doing it. I'm no expert at it but I know someone who is. Give me a call.

While I've never done it myself, many years ago when I had a chance to acquire an original Ideal breech seater with the box (from a gun show table) I grabbed it.  Oddly enough, the shell and spud included were for the 22 Hornet of which you inquire!  I guess somebody sometime must have thought it was a good idea!   Cool

Thanks all for the responses. The project has hit a snag but is not dead. Hopefully just delayed for a while. Will add some interesting info as it develops.

Don when Barry Darr was here with me we would hit the range about twice weekly and at a 100yds. he would consitently shoot 3/8 and smaller groups at every outing with ease. Bullet was a 70gr. PB Spiizer as I recall and one he made for himself and was breech seated. It also shot extremely well at 200yds. only problem being in our typical mirage it was virtually impossible to see the bullet holes at times. If memory serves me right he placed in the top three or at the top in one of our monthly matches and I believe the first time it had been accomplished with a plain base breech seated 22Hornet. Below is one of his nice little 100yd. Groups and a print out from his Ohler Ballistic System and I hope he does not mind me sharing this with you.
