That's very nice! Who built it and what's it chambered in?

Steve Durren built a highwall for me and the attention to detail is just amazing. It's definitely the finest rifle I own.
If I ever get another rifle built it'll pretty much be exactly like the one in your picture, except left handed and in .32-40.
Thanks for posting the picture.

Stunning rifle! It's exactly what I would want in an 1885 schuetzen model!

Absolutely elegant rifle there. Modern rifles sure have come a long way from the magnificence of that example.
Now after all that beauty ***(Gag warning!)***, for contrast take a look at the picture to see what's in the rack on the counter behind it. Progress? Rifles or crayons?
I warned ya.

Wow..... You may have changed my mind on what to do with a Hi Wall action I have had in the drawer for about 20 years. Now it is only the cost I have to contend with.

I'll get more pics to dad soon ladies and gents, I'm pretty impressed with the work. It's a super nice rifle, just too small for me to shoot, I can squeeze my arm in the butt plate, but its painful, ☹️
It's got a matted barrel as well, difficult to photograph. I'll keep trying.

John a very Beautiful rifle indeed and one built by one of the top ACGG Gunsmiths in the Nation also makes it a very special rilfe in its own right for one to own. Congratulations and I am sure it will shoot just as well as it looks.

John:
Love the looks of the rifle. Looks pretty fine and I am sure she will shoot.
Congratulations to mom on her young one and her new rifle as well.
Hope Gabbi can shoot the second relay while you baby sit.
Your young one will have to catch up.
Colleen is already training her daughter.
Colleen's kids already have a .32 RKS Yost and a BSA Martini International MKII.
Time to start building another one.

Joe, Is that a dark walnut or has it beem stained? The figure is stunning! I've seen some maple that looks like that when stained with a darker finish, but it's hard to tell in the picture.

Joe, it's hot down here, I have old dirty guns, and my feet hurt. Have you checked the weather in Spokane? The action (I believe) is a #5 Pacific, the breech block appears to be original, but has no numbers.

John & Joe:
That HighWall would be safer in Canada.
We have much lower crime here; plus I hear there are unsavoury charachters in Arco.
I have been trained to properly caress a HighWall.

Appears to me that it normally nests in the lower half and is set in the upper half for access of the lower compartment as shown in this image.
However, if I attempted to use it in such manner, without fail the first item removed from the lower compartment would alter the balance enough for the whole works to tip over backwards, thus insuring the contents being scrambled better than a five minute session in a paint shaker.

No numbers on the end of the breech block halves? That's the first I've ever heard of a Ballard breech block not having serial numbers on the tail.

The tail of those blocks appear to be reshaped. I'm guessing they didn't match so someone ground the mismatched numbers off.
