Wondering about the differences between Winchester and Starline brass. Does one hold  more than the other based on wall thickness? Quality? This would be for black powder.

Winchester holds more but I have always found my Starline to be more uniform and very high quality.

Winchester will hold a bit more than starline.
Hornady 45-70 brass is the cream of the crop tho. Will hold more powder and shoots better groups than Remington.

Isn't Hornady 45-70 brass a tad shorter than Starline brass?  OR, is it Winchester brass that's shorter?  I like Starline brass better than any other manufacture I've used..... not that I've used all that much.

Hornady component brass is a full 2.1 inches long and extremely uniform. BPTR shooters that have tried it or very happy with it.
The once fired brass from the lever evolution ammo is a bit shorter but most likely would be fine for loading greasers, or making 40-65 brass.
