Wow, Jack. Did you find that Pope locally?

Looks like it could use a heavy draw filing and a TJ liner Wink

Jack bought the Win. from me at our single shot show Sunday. The Stevens-Pope numbers over around 1250 were likely done by Ross, who oversaw all of these barrels after Pope parted from Stevens.

I think was built specifically for Harry.  Not to shoot but to use in weight lifting!

Thank you for the info, Vall.

Is the rifle local to Oregon then?

No, it came out of California. Or should I  say it escaped?

Joe,

the bore looks very good.  My cheap eBay USB endoscope won't work with the updated software on my PC so I cant get a internal shot, but it is bright and shiny with no obvious pitting and strong rifling.

Another crappy day with 10-20 mph gusty winds and a steady drizzle.  Looks like the weather may be getting better later in the week.

Now it is 6 pm.  The weather improved about a 1/2 hour ago.  Enough light for an hour at the range if i leave right now.  Oh wait.  Its my wife's birthday and I am taking her out for dinner.  I don't think a big mac at the range is what she had in mind Smiley
