Anyone melt down lead shot for bullet casting? I got 100 lbs on the cheap. Will it work for a 20 to 1 melt ?

Keith if you have an extra pot you can try making some bullets with it back when I was experimenting with Antimony I found a mix of lead and tin to add to it that shot qhite well but leading was always a bit of an issue with my rifle but only on occasion. Shot some nice practice 250's with it but I never could hit on any consistency with it either or I would still be using it. Your rifle on the other hand might think it to be the very best so I surely would not hesitate to give a very serious try and I would recommend that you try in doing so.

Lead shot also has arsenic in it, which renders it heat-treatable, so you can make whatever hardness you want.   Only takes a trace of arsenic.

If it’s good shot and a useful pellet size be pretty easy to sell it for a dollar a pound. Enough to buy good alloyed lead from Roto Metals

Boats.
