what would be a good load to start with 25/21 for breach loading. I don't know if I should go with black powder or smokeless.

In two CPA Stevens 44 1/2's in .25-20 WCF, I am shooting 8.0 grains Accurate Arms 4100 for matches with the Mos 119 grain bullet or the NOE 258-120-FN. This was with 20:1 Pb/Sn alloy.

I have also experimented with AA #9 from 7.5 to 8.5 grains and accuracy came suddenly at 8.0 grains. This was with the NOE bullet, 25:1 Pb/Sn alloy.

Using 8.2 grs. of 300MP in my MOS 25-21. MOS 120 gr. Spitzer,. 1-16 Alloy. Wolf Match Primers. Douglas 10 twist barrel. Breech Seated.
