Natchez has 25-20 SS Jamison brass and until midnight tonight free shipping. The 20 count is out of stock but they have the 100 count. I just ordered 100 at $144 saving $13.60 on the shipping.

Am I missing something?  Right 25-20, middle 25-20 made from 32-20, Left 32-20.

Gently put through the size die with MINIMUM of lube.

No, that is exactly how mine turnout after a trip thru the 25-20 WCF die.

At the NRA Annual Meeting in Louisville, I talked to the brass suppliers and was told to size down .32-20. Even making .218 Bee was not an item for discussion. The makers had all they could do to supply loaded ammo and little call for these calibers.

Knowing I had a Ruger #1 in .218 Bee, a friend sent me about 750 cases that were .25-20 and .32-20 necked to .218 Bee. His brother had a 43 Winchester in .218 Bee and passed away, he inherited this brass and figured giving me the brass saved him the cost of a new rifle. His brother's rifle had been sold. This was mixed for headstamp and age, all in one box.

All brass was formed in a .25-20 RCBS sizing die, sorted by headstamp noting the style of the lettering as well as the caliber. The older brass has smaller and more stylish headstamps with thinner necks. Resizing was done with the neck lubed inside and the sizing ball lubed to keep splits from happening.

Previously, I had bought all the W-W .25-20 WCF brass I could locally find about eight years ago and ordered from Natchez Shooter Supply when they had it.

Forming brass such as new .32-20 means lubing the expander ball and the inside and outside of the case neck to minimize splits. I use "Groom and Clean" hair tonic since it works well and is water soluble. The cases clean up very easily.

Thanks Bud,May have to give it a try.I have been reluctant to try resizing .32-20 brass because i have seen a lot posts from other forums about split necks.

I would anneal the brass first.
then try the FLsizer.  A little at a time, lube with a THIN coating, relube at each stage IF needed.

Too much lube will show up as small dents.

Wax - like in Imperial is well known as working well in these applications.  (I mix a high-tach grease with carnauba wax - but Imperial is good)

IF you need it, I can loan you my RCBS forming die.  Never used it, got it with a rifle I just got.

Thanks for the offer Cat, but i will be ok for a while with the brass i have just recently accrued. So far i have 100 cs, 50 are necked down .32-20 from Buffalo arms, and 50 are Remington .25-20 wcf cs.

I tried making 25-20 WCF from 32-20 to experiment, I was saving the Remington 25-20 brass I have to make 218bee. Now that Hornaday is making bee brass making it is not required.
Anyway, some suggest you run the 32-20 through the seat/ crimp die to roughly form them before final sizing. I had problems with the neck snagging in the vent and folding. Eventually I quit trying as I have a good supply of 25-20 brass. I also have several 25-20 WCF rifles.

Yes, Imperial Sizing Die Wax is the best commercial product. Thin coats finger-applied is the secret plus checking for lube accumulation in the die as you work. This take time, plan on an afternoon or evening.

Annealing is helpful also.

I have W-W 25/20  brass once fired (I bought 200 loaded when I bought my first 25/20). I am chasing 25/20 single shot brass for a Low Wall I have and can't get it here in Australia at a reasonable price. Let me know if we can do a deal.

Yes. Missing how to resize that pic. Those look more like oil drums than cartridge cases.
