It appears there were possibly three generations of Cleaves shooting that Match? and if so that is a very big deal in regards to keeping the Schuetzen sport alive!

You are correct John. Three generations of the Cleave clan shot the match. Jerry, son Don , and grandson Jonathan (14 years old).

Don has shot with us before, but it's been ~ 10 years ago. This was Jonathan's first match with us. They're both a great addition to our group and we hope they can start to shoot with us more often.

Don and Jonathan shared a rifle for the match. They used Jerry's 32-40 Ballard. Unfortunately they had to leave early so Jonathan was only able to turn in one target.

Thank you Jerry I know of no one who has done more to keep the Schuetzen tradition alive more so than Jerry. To have his Son and Grandson there is indeed a tremendous blessing that very few of us in this lifetime would ever have the opportunity to enjoy and it is very well deserved to say the least. As you know Jerry is very talented and I know he as you there are some very beautiful Rifles being built for both his Son and Grandson. Jerry's work in my book is second to none and this also pertains to our going and extremely enjoyable friendship with him that goes well beyond Shooting but our individual beliefs in life being yet even more of a blessing. Not only to just the both of us but more importantly all of those who might have the opportunity to be around him.
