Wet Collodion of my rifles.

Print Post
A friend used the wet collodion process to take a picture of some of my rifles.  It makes for a unique picture of rifles built during the 1880s captured by a  process used in photography in the 1860s.

the Borchhardt photo is exceptional--- fantastic work!!!!   those slow processes yield incredibly fine grained pictures,  far finer than silver process "film" or most modern e-photos. My guess that could have been blown up to near poster size without any image degradation (other that than in the print making)     his lighting is also exceptionally well done.  I'd love to know what the set up was.

My friend Jeff Schotland is a shooter with gun or camera. He makes his living with the camera. He does mostly commercial work.  the last picture is digital of my Pope HW.  Check out:  (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links);      (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links); or    (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Something tells me he could probably make all my clunkers look great with his abilities! But I agree with Dale, that Pope Hi Wall is really nice!

It would be nice to see him submit pics to The ASSRA Journal.
