TRAPDOOR SPRINGFIELD (Read 5061 times)

	I recently bought this rifle from a friend. I also got the bayonet. The rifle has had the stock cut off a few inches in front of the barrel band but the metal was left untouched. The bore is bright and shiny.

	Great looking rifle. Amazing condition. Value decreased with the cut down, but just shoot it with no apologies. It will do well. Have one re-barreled in 40-65 that will stay with the Rolling Block's, Hepburn's and Shiloh's out to 500 yards. Chuck

	Have to admit that my Trapdoor has tang sights and double set triggers. There have been previous posts on lighting the trigger pull of a Trapdoor. The sear spring is the place to start. Think "Boats" on the forum has some experience with it. Chuck

	Mine had a trigger that was almost tolerable, and with enough concentration would group reasonable well. About two feet higher than the lowest setting of the sights! Yer gonna like that one.
