Hi Rebel

It was a Mk4 Martini Henry action  in 577/450 a Service Rifle of the era.

Sorry forgot to say incorrectly assembled the cocking indicator is in the wrong orientation

These conversions are quite common in the UK,

That site has some very nice converted large frame Martinis in the 2 links that are referenced on the under construction Bonehill link. Also the story on Platter on the BSA link is interesting.
