After reading with interest from the for sale section on this site. I want to post some pictures and ask what do I have? I bought this as a #2 in 22RF. Bonner

Well at least it is what it was presented as! It indeed is a #2 Rolling Block.

It sure looks like a No.2.  From the angle of the 1st photo, the top tang appears to have a slight curve to it.  This is characteristic of No. 2's.  Nice rifle.

Never mind the mule. Just load the wagon.

What you have is a very nice setting to shoot that fine example of a Rem. roller

Bonner: Here's some pictures to determine the difference between the Remington Sporting models:
#1 & 1 1/5 - (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
#2 - (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
Two differences between the #1 & 2:
* Curved action at the wrist = #2
* Not shown - perch butt stock
Yes, you have a #2
The mold you posted looks like the 165gr Ideal 31944 for a 32-40

#2 Rem. have curves all over the place! Front edge of the receiver has a slight reverse curve. Rear edge has a very defined reverse curve. Tangs (upper and lower) have curves. They're just a sexy little action!
