Small Martini stock checkering.

With Photobucket stopping me from looking at stock checkering that has been on this site and else where I was hoping that some more photo's could be put up showing what has been done on your rifles.
I know what I want as on a standard not pistol grip stock and show a photo of one I found and saved to my computer from somewhere or other but its photo's of checkering on pistol grip stocks which I would like to see as I have now found a guy who does good work at a very reasonably price.
I have a few Martini's that have never had their stocks checkered because of the high cost of doing them. The gunsmith who has done all my work in the past including the other photo of my latest rifle in 5.6x50R does not do checkering and I wanted a photo to show him some idea of what I wanted.

Here are some examples of checkering of Martini pistol grip stocks.
The first one is the H&H treatment of a full sized Martini converted to a rook rifle.
The second and third are Cadet's.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I would look at other makes of guns that also use a through bolt. The stock checkering that works on that style of action could work on your Martini also.
