A man I know wants to buy this rifle but I have no idea what to ask for it and I was hoping someone might give me an idea of what it's worth. I have not been to a gun show in many years and they don't appear that often on Gun Broker. Thanks

The sights alone are probably worth 300.00.  Ledball

I bought one two months ago for $710 with shipping.
It is a Mk II.
Yours is a MK I, and in better shape than mine.
Indeed, probably a fair price for yours would be in neighborhood of $800 or so.
The sights are very good. 1/4min clicks. But, probably not worth $300, since they are specialized mounting for the
Brit base.

That would be a really nice benchrest rifle you should consider keeping it Smiley
In regards to my experience I paid $700 locally a few months back for a MKII and $650 online for a MKII.
Take Care,
Scott
