All my most accurate molds cast a tapered bullet. Were designed that way. Is your Saeco? They are owned by Redding, so if there is any problem they'll take good care of you. Give them a call and ask.

Might be perfect for a Uberti or any original .379 barrel.

This may shoch newer shooters but the Traditional groove diameter for a 38 rifle barrel is .380" not .375"

Joe,
Thanks for the update and the humility, very good form.
I'm going to order one and give it a go.
Thanks,
Greg

Joe;
A friend had the same problem, oversize, with a 40 cal 640 mold direct from Redding. Took three swaps I think, back and forth on molds to get it right.  Doesn't say much about their quality control.
Oh ya, they said much the same thing as the 'warning' mentioned.
Doesn't help a guy much looking for a particular advertised dia.???

Has anyone ever had a perfect mold?
Even the best bullets are usually slightly out of round or off diameter.
Want them just a little over to be sized to the exact diameter for your barrel and alloy.

I've had very good results with my Saeco molds (using in modern barrels) and nothing but trouble with the three Brooks molds that I have. Two of the Brooks molds are .40 cal and one is a .38.

The days of perfect molds ended when Paul Jones retired.
