Pretty decent looking Rolling Block. The set trigger is a nice feature, and they work well! Wonder why he didn't at least list the caliber marking from the underside of the barrel? Sure can't tell by his picture of the chamber end. As-is isn't giving me a warm fuzzy feeling, as that usually means if there's something really wrong it can't be returned.
And he obviously doesn't know squat if he's requiring an FFL transfer on that gun.

The holes for the tang sight don't seemed to be drilled straight with the bore - rear one looks off to the left to my eyes.

Missed that, thanks! Yes, the markings appear to be correct factory style. Remington was very haphazard about the barrel markings, and a little sloppy at getting them straight.

The blued receiver hurts, but is fixable. The barrel appears to have been properly polished when reblued, so edges are flat, and sharp corners on the octagon. Buttplate appears to be polished out also.If the bore is truly good, and trigger works well, it's still a fairly valuable gun, as there's less than 12,000 Rolling Block Sporting rifles built. I'd be happy to own it at twice the price it's presently at, if I didn't already have several similar.

Only other thing I saw of interest was the two full sized Martini actions. But they aren't what I'd ever consider using to build a single shot rifle, although the opening price on them isn't bad.
