Can anyone tell me about this mold. What do the markings mean?

Does it appear to be about a .25 Caliber? If so the Numbers on the Right hand look to me like a Metric dimension. When carried out it would cast a Bullet .1307 in Diameter. A quick check with a Vernier would tell you. HTH Regards, FITZ-G Smiley

Eagan was the go-to guy for moulds for the Cast Bullet Association benchrest set until he died a decade or so ago.  All the Eagan moulds I've seen were nose-pour, cherry cut and heavy brass blocks.  I think he kept them large for heat retention.

The MX-3 was a certain design of his illustrated in his catalog.  Mine is followed by a "30", which I presume identifies it as a .30 caliber.  The bullets I've cast from it are indeed .30 caliber.  Yours has a "32" so I would surmise yours will cast a .32 caliber bullet.  Have you done any casting with it?

The other numbers, I believe, are assembly numbers and the date of manufacture.

I've not seen a plain base Eagan design before; most were gas-checked.  The "S" might mean "Scheutzen" or "Special."

Note that it says linotype. Your bullets should be about .001+ under those dimensions.
