No on the Silver Solder !!!  It take's too much heat and will never be blued like the rest of the metal !!! 

TIG weld the two part's and you can control the outcome better !!!

Yes, TIG  would be good. As far as the silver soldering requiring too much heat, you don't know what you're talking about.

I'll have to start looking for another one. If they aren't matched to the gun, that makes it easier.
