Almost there.
The solution to the splitting necks was to trim the brass first to 1.135"
(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) Right to left is a finished round with a 75 grain Vmax, next to a 17 WSM. The progression of steps to finished round.
Pulled bullet, trimmed to 1.135", necking up starts at .187" this mandrel was made from the back end of a 13/64" drill bit and grinding a long slow taper.
From there it was easy, moving up a caliber at a time, 204, 22 243, 257. Trimmed to 1.200. Completed with bullet seated at 1,250" base to ogive.

Sadly, I remember it shooting better than this. Then again, back then I could see the sights.
Any one have a line on a suitable aperture type sight to help a guy see the target again?
