Lozito Sharps Borchardt Schuetzen

I have become custodian of Joe Lozito's personal Schuetzen.  Everything is Joe's work except for engraving (Angelo Bee) and rifling in the barrels (three different, one not finished).

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

The Borchardt is the epitome of what Sharps should have become if they'd only brought it out sooner to save the business!
That's a gorgeous gun, and makes me drool over it!

I have read that the frontier dealers don't like the 1878 and sent letters to sharps asking them not to send any more hammer less guns and to send only guns with hammers . and somewhere I read dealers asking suppliers to send only guns with rainbow colors. Ken

Beautiful!  What calibers?

Absolutely magnificent, there aren't any other words to describe it. I would certainly like to see more photographs and have details of what the calibres of the three barrels are.

Kensmachine. It was J.P. Lower of Denver that sent that complaint into the Sharps factory. He personally owned no less than three Borchardt's, and judging by the number of Borchardt's that turn up with his name and address on them he sold quite a lot of them despite his protestations that no one wanted them.
