Does anyone have any recent info on the going price of a Peregrine Action, either CF or RF?

Two sold at auction a couple of years ago and if my memory is right they brought about $1400 each. Very few made.

look  at Amoskeag Auction results about Wednesday   this week,  lot # 4040  It is in their silent auction listing, a center fire  action.     A left handed peregrine rifle in .38-50  sold  yesterday,  but I don't remember the hammer price. it was lot # 458.

It's hard to establish a realistic price on one because there was so much diversity in the few that were made... a couple of action sizes, single trigger vs a couple of set triggers, etc, etc.  There was a guy who posted on here about 5 or so years ago trying to do a sort of history or summary of he ones that were built, but I haven't heard anything about that project lately.

One of those at Amoskeag was a double set trigger with fantastic English walnut. Caliber 38-50 and sold for $1500.  With the $300 buyers fee, would brought to $1800 + shipping.

The Peregrine action in the Silent Auction was an absolutely Brand New Action. Never had a Barrel in it. I had prepared a Silent Bid but held back in case I got crazy in the Auction. DID!
So never submitted my Bid. FITZ-G. Smiley

I have seen the sear transfer bar break on a double set trigger action and there are no replacement parts available. It belonged to a close a friend as was the machinest that made the jig to machine him a new one.

Brice the action belonged to Duane Jenner and Rick MacHale made the replacement.

I'm told the seller wants to remain anonymous.

The Peregrine action sold for $1000.  Plus fees would have been around $1200.    Like Fitz,  I had a bid ready to go and then decided I didn't need another project.    Hear that sound?  ......  It's me kicking myself for not sending the bid.   I think I would have won......
