I now look at them a lot on the internet, and very seldom does a seller show the bottom, or the lever lowered. If they did, it would be easy.
It's easy whether they do or don't, with a little--but not much!--experience; but I don't mean the kind acquired on the internet. And for someone possessing the sharp eye of a professional designer, I should think it would be
especially easy.

But apparently, and unfortunately, it DOES; otherwise, why such defensiveness? In fact, a good bit it would seem, if it prompted you to search out a block-less Stevens receiver to "prove your point." Which it really doesn't, as the presence or absence of the mortise in the frame required for a falling-block would tell the tale.
However, please accept my profuse apologies for any emotional distress my feeble attempt at levity might have caused you. Guess I'm still trying to make up for my failure to win a spot on Comedy Central.
