I ahve a uberti 1885 32" barrel 1/20 twist barrel. Im concerned about trying the heavier bullets. Buffalo arma has some interesting designs in 435-470 molds in spitzer and money nose design. Just looking for information on whats working for others.

My local range has 600 yds. Im not sure i can find a place to shoot longer ranges.

I shoot the same rifle. I use the Saeco 490 gr. Spire point, part number 65645. I've shot it to 1245 yards without any problem.  Smiley

Original trapdoor Springfields had a 22" twist and stabilized 500 grain bullets. For 600 yds you need the heaviest bullet your rifle will shoot well as light bullets are more effected by changing conditions. Baco has several in the 500-540 range that will work. Go with a reduced 1st band or possibly 2 bands to allow seating the bullet farther out to gain powder capacity.
