USA Hoch action questions

I have a USA Montrose, Colorado Hoch action which is a kit action. After reading the Meacham Hoch post I have a few question on my action. Does anyone know what metal is used in its construction , and does it need heat treated? I was planning to send it to have Metalife plating, but is this a bad idea? If it does require heat treating where would be a good place to send it. Any and all information is appreciated.

It's 8620. It would be a good idea to CC it but, it is safe to shoot it, as is. I've been shooting mine since 1987 w/o HT and it doesn't show any wear.

I don't know anything about Metalife plating.
