I leaning toward the Weaver T. Going to try them all out, when I get the time.
Never mind the mule. Just load the wagon.

Thanks for the lever pic.
Or why Ruger has dropped the No.1 all together as soon as the anniversary rifles are gone. Ruger has become too big to be worried about such small runs as the No.1. Too bad for us and them.
This rumor seems to be endless! Vice President of Ruger, Chris Killoy squashed this rumor earlier this year, saying the Ruger #1 is not being discontinued. He said some poor selling calibers will be dropped, but that they might add calibers that have been requested often.
That's good to read. Hope you are correct. Do want one in .270 or .280 for the occasional hunting trip.
George - been able to put any lead down-range with your new rifle?
Glenn - 2x CPA 44 1/2 w/22LR (Shilen ratchet-rifled & Bartlein 5R rifled), 38-40RH & 38-55WCF (Bartlein 5R rifled) & 40-65WCF (GrnMtn 'X') barrels

Glenn, I wish. With all the inclimate weather, being back on the road, and remodling the carriage house so my wife can have a "woman cave", I haven't had time to even think about shooting.

If you don't know, the NMLRA has installed the rails and will (has?) start .22BPCR silhouettes this (last?) weekend at Friendship. If you have the original forearm you could shoot the Ruger. Think it is an 'all safe rifles are welcome' match. Great fun to watch those evil critters go over (or not). Will be shooting the 2-day regional at Friendship next month. Hopefully, weather will be better than the 30F we had last year.

22BPCR 30 miles from home! That sounds good. I don't have a fore arm that will fit the Ruger, but maybe I could get by with the flat fore arm or buy a Crossno insert for my .40-65. Mike Bassett is a great gunsmith and seems to be doing a great job running the Crossno shop. I hope shooters will support Mike and Dave's family.
