Excellent work, and you need to promote your services. There are fewer riflesmiths willing to take on single shot repairs or restoration these days. We need to keep these old classics in good repair and on the firing line or hunting fields.

Ballards may be weaker,

A couple of fine looking rifles! What always amazes me is the wood to metal fitting you guys do. It is perfect in every Ballard, Hi-Wall or Hepburn you have done for me.
By the way I now have an original Hepburn barrel for the action I bought from you.I need to get it to you before long so you can do the headspace and fit. Plus pick out some great wood for you to do your magic on!

Hey Mike, John Madden here, your neighbor to the south.

I enjoyed the shameless promoting!  Wouldn't mind installments.   Glad to see your swept the floors for those pictures Smiley

Got hopes for another Roller some day.

Btw... still got my plug for the liner.   Need a pat on the head for that.

See you at our BPCR before too long.

John

Best Regards,
John

I would like to say that I contacted Mike with questions on two rollers that I have, for evaluation of these rifles for safety and relining. Sent the rifles to mike on Jan. 26th. He has already replied that 1 rifle is unsafe!! Due to poor workmanship. The 2nd rifle is in good working order. I can tell you that they are running the business as if Dave was there. I'm sure he is in spirit.  Bonner

Beautiful. And especially appreciate your work bench. Makes mine look almost 'reasonable'. As I tell the wife, a clean & organized workspace is the sign of a sick mind. Wink

Great work as always Mike. Been thinking about my/your next project. I really need a Creedmoor pattern #2 Roller to go with the 45-90 (built on a #5 action, receiver pistol-gripped) 32" full octagon barrel, with set trigger and E-Grade checkering on that outrageous checkerboard pattern wood and the matching one built on a 1 1/2 action in .22LR. This will be an amazing set of Rollers, to go with the other #2 Rollers you built for me. Can't have too many Rollers.

Also, looking forward to getting the #3 Ballard receiver that you case-colored for me. Looked really good in the pic you sent.
