NOE 322-217 ELCO

I was finally able to make it to the range with good conditions today to try several loads in 4 different rifles with my first test using the new NOE bullet that Frnkeore arranged to get made by NOE.  Coming in at about 217.8 gr @ 20-1,   It fit well in between my  Hoch Darr style from CPA at 208 gr and my Paul Jones SP at 233 gr.  I was using my trusty High Wall in 32-40 with a Green Mountain barrel that really shoots the Darr well.  12.4 gr 300MP with my home brew lube.  My first 5 shot group after two sighters went 1-3/8" at 200 yds.  Then I shot this group that measures about 3/4" for 5 shots.  Frank I think I am ready for Spokane.  How Long until May?

BPJ, this is a target I shot at the ISSA Regional Match in Las Vegas earlier this week, it's ten shots at 200 yards Iron Sights in a stiff wind. 32-40, NOE .322 ELCO about 215 grains 20-1, 14.5 H4227 with a CCI primer. It seems like a very good bullet;

Jack,  If you plan to shoot the ELCO bullet at Tacoma, better submit it for approval ASAP.  There is a bit of an approval backlog building up. Time is of the essence   Roll Eyes

Bob,
I will submit 10 samples to the bullet approval committee.  How much is the fee again?

No fee, but the approval process is grueling.  That is why the approved bullet list is so short.

So that you, can control your competition Wink

I do the same. I inpect each bullet shot against me, then put my stamp of appoval on each one, with a ball peen hammer  Smiley

So if I wanted to shoot in this match i would to send all the bullets to be stamped with your 3# ball peen!
Would be a darn fine way to controal competition .
I would emagine that both my 450 gr boatail and my 640 gr GC .459 NEI bullets wouldnt conform.

I don't like posting scores lower than 245.  This bullet shows promise  Cheesy

Frank told me he'd forego the stamping on my .459 boat tail bullets if I'd shoot 'em in a .32-40. Always lookin' for an edge, that's me.

I'm always looking for an edge for all my shooters, that's why only the best bullets make the match approved list.  Cheesy
