Since the thoughts have been finalized, can you mention what went wrong with CPA?
I had a CPA that needed to be returned 3 times for rupturing cases. They refunded me my money and I sought other options.
Rupturing 22 RF cases?

Yes, this happened with multiple brands and lots.

That is odd. I have only had 22 RF rupture with foreign made ammo during the shortage. Sent it back and got a refund; no questions asked.

I'm no gunsmith, but something must have been over sized or too far away.

as far as I know Badger was sold few years back and is pretty much making barrels for military contract now. I'm not sure they are making anything else for general consumption.
if there is more current info I'd welcome correction.
You are correct. Can't recall if they are part of Wilson or PacNor these days. No more cut-rifled barrels from Badger.
Glenn - 2x CPA 44 1/2 w/22LR (Shilen ratchet-rifled & Bartlein 5R rifled), 38-40RH & 38-55WCF (Bartlein 5R rifled) & 40-65WCF (GrnMtn 'X') barrels

"Rupturing 22 RF cases?" This happens when extractors are not properly fit. Setting up chambers in .22 rimfire rifles is much more important and difficult than larger center-fire chambers. Most shooters don't realize how much pressure is built up in .22 rimfire chambers. I've checked empty brass at several .22 matches and been surprised at how many of the cases have bulges at the rims.
