Hello,

I'm trying to identify what appears to be a fairly heavily modified BSA Martini 12/15.

I WILL POST LINK TO PHOTOS IN THE POST BELOW.

It bears quite a resemblance to the the “Freeland Super 22 Target Rifle”.   

I'm also trying to learn more what the barrel stamping might indicate:

22 L.R.
INSTD. BY A.F.S.S. 5/24/50

Some have suggested the "A.F." portion of the stamp *could* reference Al Freeland.   

Any insight into this would be most appreciated.

I think the "AF" marking is Al Freeland and this could be a transitional model. The iron sights are similar to the Mark I model which I have. The stock is also similar to a Mark I and the trigger adjustment screws could have been put in separately.
