I have a low wall with a 10 twist barrel and want to shoot 130 grain cast Lyman 311410 from it. Anyone have any experience? Or place to find published data? Thanks, moodyholler

Not much bullet for 10" twist.

I have never used the 311410, but we are using a copy of
311008 in a H&R re-barreled with a GI 2 groove barrel...Unique or SR7625, 4 to 5 grains, I also have a mold casts 120 with WW, same loads as 311008
with the 150 gr Ed Harris bullet, AA2015, or Reloader 7

I've shot thousands of rounds of the 311410 but as mentioned above you can use a much heavier bullet with the 1/10 twist and probably get better accuracy. Tried many different powders but always fall back to 4227, about 10 grains or so.  FWIW.

Here is a suggestion to try. Do it with a little caution though.

The 30 Carbine was based on the 32/20 and your mold was developed for the Carbine.

The Carbine has a little less case capacity and your 32/20 liner has .003 larger barrel.

That means that the same loads in your barrel and chamber will have lower pressure than the carbine.

There is a lot of 130 gr Cabine data. Use the starting loads from those and work up to around 1400 - 1500 fps from there, if you have a chronograph.

I have data for for 30/20 that I worked up in a 44 action with 185 gr bullets:

8.0 gr Enforcer @ 1250 fps. 7 1/2 Rem primers. Breech seated.

Blue Dot 7.5 gr.  1352 fps
WW 540MS (70's vintage) 7.4 gr 1340 fps
4227 11.5 gr  1384 fps

These loads shot a little over 1" on average at 90 yds.
This is with a Douglas 16 twist barrel. I don't know how they would shoot in a 10 twist. The bullet nose was a little loose for my .303 bore so I had Accurate make a mold that was a duplicate but fit the barrel better and groups shrank to under a inch on average. Mold is number 312133, 135 grains.

These loads were shot with a Weaver T36.  When I took the ungainly looking thing off and put on a set of Kelly aperture sights the groups opened a bit.
