You need to get light fast bullets out of your head for this kind of cartridge.
The best velocities with softer lead bullets (for best accuracy) will be 1100 to about 1300 fps.
The best powders will be extruded (stick) powders like 5744, 4227, 4198 and similar burning rates.
Now you can go to high velocity with jacketed bullets but the velocities will still be low compared to modern rounds and your accuracy will not be as good most of the time.
Your best accuracy will probably be with a softer heavier cast bullet.
You could also try a gas check cast bullet.
You can also make contact with the guys at cast boolits for a lot of input.

Thanks for the info .... Yes that's the same rifle, if I can figure out the rear vernier sight ,I'm going to try and take an antelope in Wym. In Oct , is that the sight you use or have you upgraded that on your rifle ? I was going to try the lighter bullets thinking of getting higher velocities , and yes I'm using smokeless powder ..don't have any loads yet for these bullets , any recipes you have would be great ...thanks again !
