Any chance you can take it down and show that? 
If it has that automatic safety bar, which is cool, what is the little lever in front of the bar?

LOVE IT!    especially the full length stock and the way it is keyed rather screwed to the barrel.   I have a one of the Earl/Wesson/Henry rifles in a long-gestating assembly stage. Your rifle makes me wish I had seen it earlier and commissioned a full length forend for it.  its not too late, but matching the english walnut grain might be real tough.

That grip safety is new to me I'd love to know more how that works.
  I'm sort of assuming it was more of a hunting rifle, do you have any idea what the original sights were like?   It looks sorta like there is a filled in dovetail slot under the unfortunate scope. 
   Finding a good matching German claw-mount scope to match original bases can be done but its a real process.   I bought and resold half a dozen on flea-bay before I found on that could be modified to work with the original mounts on my break open stalking rifle.

  The FWesson/AHenry clone had the back action lock too. I think his rifles and the later Sharps Non-military action target-rifles used high grade imported Brit back action locks.   When Steve Earl recreated the FWesson action he also fabricated from scratch the Brit style lock which works impeccably 

It looks like the original--or at least vintage---scope bases might have been the claw-type, perhaps they have been flat-topped and redrilled for the weaver type bases.  If that is the case It might be a problem  Replacements can be found on occasion that could be modified or a set of modern bases could be fabricated to fit the original dovetails, perhaps with fore and aft extensions to fit the proper spacing for American vintage scope mounts.

any problem can be solved if you put enough sweat and money into the solution.

if its going to be a hunting rifle I might simply replace the scope and rings (and maybe the Weaver-type bases too) with a modern lower powered straight tube design---they look a lot like the vintage germanic ones anyway. and find some good low profile steel lever-release rings.

The grip safety blocks the firing trigger, the small lever is another safety, when set it prevents the grip safety from being pressed. The rifle weighs 7 pounds 12 ounces with scope & sling. The barrel is 20" long. The custom scope blocks are dove tailed into the rib & Weaver tip off rings were used. There is a 3 piece ebony cleaning rod, 2 pieces in the trap in the butt & 1 in a ferule in the for end.
