Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Sounds like a short list Dave! Wink
Can't wait to hear what's on the "I don't need list" when you get the new home built, and begin to organize things!
I have a couple Rollers I want to build, and have .40 cal. barrel, and wood ready for use on one barreled action in .43 Spanish. Another is a complete military that's going to require some polishing to remove surface rust.
Then I'm contemplating a Ruger #1 project I'm getting soon in 7x57. If it wont shoot cast well, it might get a major rework to a schuetzen configuration, or BPCR type rifle with long full octagon barrel.
A couple Ballard projects that need attention, and one might end up as a .22LR, as someone cracked a forged pistol grip receiver right through the serial number, and it's either scrap or a .22RF now. Or it may get parted out.

Had to replace the trigger! Yes, it is a factory #1.. Have a Winchester(lyman) 8 power on it with DZ mounts. Love to shoot offhand with it. Have a TJ liner installed and use Federal auto match. john

If I recall correctly, the first U.S. 22 caliber training rifle was a #1 Remington rolling block.
