That you Jerry for all the work you did on the King Target. It has become my favorite king target!

I'm a little late to this thread and a total newbie to all the things involved in this type of shooting, so forgive me my newbie question.  I can see the King target, but don't understand how it is used or it's purpose.

Chris C

The king targets are a one shot, closest to center (or other aiming point).  Different matches have variations, but most are offhand at 100 or 200 yds.  At Tacoma we usually have a 200 yd target the size of the one shown and sometimes a second at 100 yds.  At Spokane the ISSA Canadian and NW regionals have a 200 yd any sight Kings and the RKS match (which is all bench) a 200 yd iron sight only King match.  They are lots of fun with a few shooters missing the 200 yd offhand target all together.  A couple of years ago a first time shooter won the King at at Tacoma.  My avatar for this site is one I won a few years back in Tacoma.  Hand painted by Joe Carr.

Thanks, Jack.  I apologize for taking so long to respond.  This site doesn't notify me when a post is made and I've been away from the forum for a while.............practicing!  Wink  I'd love to get to shoot at a King target some day, but doubt that will ever happen.
