Stevens barrel size

At the Tulsa show last weekend I got a Stevens 44 1/2 rifle with the heaviest  Stevens marked barrel I have seen.  It probably left the factory as a 30 inch part octagon that was 1.375 across the flats at the breech and 1.25 at the muzzle.  Is this a Stevens number 5 or a special order?   The barrel has been shortened about a 1/2 in h at the breech to fit a different 44 1/2 action.  The barrel was cut to 27 3/4 inches plus the false  muzzle.  It was rebored from 32-40 to 33-40 by H. M. Pope in Jersey city.  It is dated 11/13/11.
Sorry no pictures at this time as the rifle is at Lee Shavers to have a new guide stater made.
I did shoot it on 11/13/16 its 105 birthday.

It looks like I found the answer in " 100 years  of shooters and gunmakers of single shot  rifles" by Gerald O. Kelver  In the chapter on Stevens page 47 had two weight charts. The first by barrel number. The second by model number for actions with stock and  ford end. A 28 inch no. 5 barrel is listed at 9 1/2 lbs. and a number 45 action and wood at 3 1/2 lbs. This brings the total to 13 lbs. My rifle was weighed before it went to Lee Shavers shop at 13 1/4 lbs. As it has a cheeky piece and a heavier butt plate I think it's a number 5 barrel.
