Mike- are you referring to the nose portion of the bullet or the body? Which design are you ordering? the 38-250J, 38-300J and 38-315J are all designs based on the Saeco bullet with a very short nose. I am not saying you should not order another design, but I think a long nose adds complications that you do not need. Just my opinion
Joe

I received the Accurate mold today and dropped a few slugs. The nose came in perfectly. Now I'll need to see if these are too long for the 1:18 twist.
Mike.

Joe_S;
The Accurate molds arrived and I found a 0.383 sizer at BAC.
The best results (pictured) were with the smaller 256 gr slug (mold #38-250L). The load was 26 gr of BH209 and a Fed 215M primer. New Starline brass. 0.60 veg wad under the bullet.  The other slug was 330 gr and I think it needed more velocity; something for another range day.
The target was fired from sticks on a bench and peep sight at 100 yds.
I tried the same load in my Winchester HW (Miroku) and it produced a 1" three shot group ( I was out of shells) that was encouraging.
What did I learn?  It was much easier to get a custom mold made to fit instead of getting a barrel to fit the molds I have (or ones that are readily available).  Accurate Molds is the go-to place IMHO; excellent quality products; reasonable prices and he sent them out in less than a week!
Now if the warm weather would just hold out a bit longer........... (ain't gonna happen  Cry).
Mike.
