Rifle looks awesome! 

For pictures, what the Pros do is have mount into the bore. Then the arm is set vertically on large tripod, then bounce lighting is used off white boards behind the object, where the focal length is set to the arm itself. This completely eliminates shadows.

Look at photos of arms for sale at the Track of the Wolf website for examples - crystal clear photos taken by Ryan Gale.

Best I have done to replicate this is setting arm on deck on top of white sun rella or other fabric, early morning sun only - so zero shadows. Works for the minimalist! But note your's are fine as is too ... !

One of my high walls shown, before I stsrted using a white-colored backer, then one from Ryan, of a lefty 50-cal flint rifle that I am having made for me (using this one as a model).
