I had a question regarding breach seating my Ballard in 32-40.... Would a mechanical seater, be any more consistent over me pushing those little rascals in  by hand? Any thoughts... Thanks... Randy A.

IMO yes!! But to me it really depends on how hard they seat.

Randy, what you need to understand about Breech Seating is that if you cannot seat the bullet neatly with a smooth push and have to push or "Bump' it a second time your rifle will shoot to different places. Not a lot but enough to lose points in score. The reason is that Lead being soft will bump up or move every time you push or bump it again. this means the rifle see's
a different condition and will shoot to a different Zero. The Mechanical seater will generally produce more consistant one time results. HTH Regards, FITZ. Smiley
