I don't think I'd use aloe either... heard it's good as a hand lotion, but never tried it as a bullet lube.     Wink

I use Rooster Jacket on cast bullets in my .25-20SS. Accuracy is good and I have seen no leading. Buffalo Arms sells it as does Midway and Dixie Gun Works.

NASA Lube: green & sticky - works best with shallow grooves pan lubing

What's wrong with Lee liquid Alox that you don't want to use it?

Why would I go to all the trouble of casting the most perfect bullets I can and then dump them altogether to bang into each other and get all nicked up?

Not sure why you would beat your bullets up?
But I still wonder why the OP doesn't like liquid alox for his situation? I don't use it in rifle bullets because it doesn't hold enough lube for the barrel length, but I've used in in pistols with great results for decades. Need the correct bullets to use it, as deep lube grooves don't work with liquid alox.

Thanks Art! As I mentioned I use it in a few pistol calibers, but also use the tumble lube designed bullets that have many small lube grooves. They hold the alox lube better, and haven't had issues with uneven lube, as a rifle might.
I mix my own bullet lube for my rifle calibers, and I keep a batch made up that is soft enough to finger lube some oddball bullets. My normal mix is 50% beeswax, 40% Crisco, and 10% Vaseline, but I add a little less beeswax, and more Crisco to make it "spreadable" for the bullets I want to spread the lube on. I also use this softer lube in my lube pump, as it's easier to apply, and I can lube just before shooting.
