1. Remove the breech block pivot pin

2. With the lever closed and the action uncocked, push down on the front of the block and it will "pop out". The lever may require a little bit of gentle movement but not too much.

3. Installation is the reverse paying attention to the following, close the lever and pull the trigger so that the tumbler is in the forward most position. Insert the block and push down on the rear pivot

4. Close the lever fully and replace the breech block pivot pin!

For those of us that shoot real powder and cast bullets, cleaning the breech block after each shoot should be all that is necessary.
