My Winchester carpenter's square and single bit axe would look pretty much at home alongside that plane.

In the 1920's Winchester diversified into Winchester Stores similar to Ace Hardware or the Montgomery-Ward Stores, the stores went belly up as a result of the Depression and WWII.Wincheter tools are commonly found at flea markets in PA, my late brother had a nice collection of Winchester products aside from rifles. I believe most of their products were manufactured by others such as Stanley or Record woodworking tools and labelled with the Winchester logo.

I have other identical monkey wrenches that have another maker's name on them. Not Stanley, but Keen Kutter.

Don't want to hijack Joe's thread so no more pics of the high wall.  I'll go hit some yard sales and antique malls and try to find some Winchester tools.

Please share some more images of that Hiwall with the "shabby" palmrest.  Looks like some mighty fine rifles stacked in that rack.
