Seems  like  primers  are  getting  hard to  find. A  lot  of  places  their  sold  out.  Same  way  with  22 ammo. Any  body  else  having  that  problem?      CLAYHILL

Just the opposite here.
Had to make a drive up north to pick up some things, and stopped at the gunshops on the way back.
Saw plenty of primers, and there was more 22 RF on the shelves than there has been in a number of years.
Nobody had any 32 S&W (not the Long) though.    Grin

Virginia seems to have plenty of primers.  Might be a good time to stock up.  .22s are also in good supply at the new MRSP.

I pop into Sportsman's Warehouse every time I'm in town looking for Bullseye powder. They never have any but there's plenty of primers an 22 ammo.

Re Bullseye,
I have used it for the last 50 yrs,
But recently, I have been using the (I think more available)
700X powder that has been popular with trap shooters. It is a
good alternative to Bullseye.
Also, Win 231 is great in former Bullseye applications such  as
45acp, 38spl, etc

If you’re picky about primers then you may have a problem. I am told by distributers that Federal 205 M primers won’t be available for a year or two. From my own research Remington 7 1/2s are getting hard to find. If you are using standard primers or pistol primers there are lots of them out there.

I see primers here on the shelf, but very few Federal and no Federal Match as 40 Rod says.  Plenty of powder on the shelf too, but not necessarily cast bullet powder.  Mag rifle has the biggest supply.  Quick pistol and shotgun is spotty, but I did see some  #9, WST and Enforcer the other day.

Schuetzenmiester,
Have you stopped by SportCo (in the Fife flats, on the East side-road along I-5) to check for powder?

I read somewhere, that the only difference between Rem 6 1/2 and 7 1/2, is the primer cup.

Has anyone tried the 6 1/2 against the 7 1/2, to compare accuracy?

The reason I ask, is because they have a lot of 6 1/2 on the shelf here but no 7 1/2 for a few months.

That is where I saw the #9 and some Enforcer.  Maybe a couple of other too.  Can't remember.  That was early last week.

I got tired of primer shop-hopping and ordered 10K each of Remington LR and CCI SP.  The CCI 500s from MIdway came out to $29/K.  cheaper than driving all over creation.

A little driving is good now and then, and lets you see if any singleshots have shown up on the for sale racks at prices that are cheaper than from the auction houses.     Wink
