32-40 Sizing Dies

I am interested in  32-40 Sizing Dies.  What do you recommend.  We shot long Range competition on Steel Targets out to 350 to 400 yards.  I use a C Sharps 1885 Hi Wall.
Not happy with my current Dies.  Thanks for any suggestions

My preference is an insert to neck size.  I like it to be such that it does the minimum.  Then I expand with an expander that expands such that I have about .002" tension and an area in front that gives me a thou or two slip fit for maybe 1/10 of an inch AND a little conical area that will give me just a whisker of a bell.

Goatneck, what dies are you not happy with?

I have a 3 die set of RCBS Cowboy dies.  So far I have used them to form brass from38-55, but just got the rifle and am waiting on cast bullet supplies.

Will be using a CH4D 3-die set for my 32-40. They make excellent, high quality 'stuff'.

I have an old Lee set that I use the sizer from to form cases from whatever. Still going good after a long time. 
Once formed, or when using actual .32-40 cases I size 'em minimally in an RCBS cowboy set, using the expander to barely, just barely flare the mouth. This for shooting fixed ammunition. Seater is set to miss any chance of a crimp.
When shooting breech seated loads, no sizing but just enough flare to keep a case rubbing in the chamber. Have fun.

Travelor I am currently using Cowboy Dies.  Have been for a number of years.  I shoot lever guns and the single shots in competition.  Thanks for your input.  Thanks for the other suggestions.  I am going to try CH4D Dies, I have heard good results from them

If you are using more than one rifle and wanting to interchange brass/cartridges between them, you can probably ignore the part about neck size only.  It's doubtful that the chambers will be the same and accept the same ammo/case profile.  I use a set of now-discontinued Lyman dies on the rare occasions I FL size, but since most of my 32-40 shooting is done with breech seating, the point is moot.  I will say that my Lyman FL sizer is tight and leaves the brass at minimum spec so it fits any of the chambers it is used in.  Cool

I have 2 sets of .32-40 dies - RCBS and RCBS Cowboy. 
I also have many other dies including Lee, Redding and CH. 

The standard RCBS seater will have a smaller guide bore for the bullet. The bullet guide bore in the RCBS Cowboy die is about .002 larger and permits the use of a larger bullet.
The expander is not very good  compared to a stepped expander like the Lyman M die.

The Lee dies generally have both a poor seater and a very poor expander.
Your Cowboy dies are probably suitable except you need a better expander such a custom expander or at least an M die from Lyman. 

Some people like CH dies but there is nothing really different about them dimensionally other than the FL sizers tend to be tighter like Lyman's. 
If you want minimal sizing get a  Lee FL die body and have the neck honed out to your specifications.
