Yours HAS the windage adjustment then?   And it's behind the elevation adjustment?

I take it you don't have lathe and mill ?

Negatory.  Mine is the economy model--has to be drifted in the slots for windage.

"Having" them wouldn't be the problem; knowing what to do with them would be the problem--an insoluble one.

Beginning to wonder if mine is constructed differently--at least the eyepiece assembly.  Here it is with the 2nd erector lens cell & diaphragm unscrewed.  Can see nothing that looks like that grub screw--thankfully.  Instead there are two screws in the eyepiece tube which you may be able to make out--one on the right is very tiny and looks fire-blued, one of them must retain the cell to which the vertical silk is attached.

An insoluble one?
Not if you're willing to learn, like everyone else had and has to.

Not unlikely.  Mine isn't exactly like any of his patent drawings.

Does yours need a crosshair replaced?

Yes, but did they start learning at 72?

Yes, but did they start learning at 72?

They started learning at various ages, and sure weren't born knowing how.
A local gunsmith aged 90 often states that he is still learning.
You've got 18 years available to you that he no longer has.
