55 gallon drum is about 3 feet deep. Is shooting them in a barrel the secret?  Roll Eyes

Was at Poulsbo Sportsmans Club one day shooting a Ballard. Old guy walks up, takes a look and says, "Sharps, nice rifle. I got one at home just like it".

Yeah, everything in an old single shot rifle is either a Sharps, or a Rolling Block. Was at our collector show last Sunday with a display of Ballard .22's and a guy complimented me on my "nice Rolling Blocks". When I told him they were all Ballards, he replied; "Well I meant they are a rolling block type action, not a Remington Rolling Block."
I just decided to not continue the conversation.

Welcome, John.  Did I give you the Winchester book? Madis? Lot of good pictures in it.

Yes, it's sitting next to my Dutcher book, nice book, very nice.
